Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Avaniswari means "queen of the earth." Avaniswari is not queen of the earth but tends to think she is. She causes a lot of trouble and has not fully learned how to use her abilities. Often the other dragons have to dodge boulders she accidentally throws. She is a large annoyance to everyone at the cave. Deorsa, the other earth dragon, has been taking the time to teach her how to handle her abilities. Avaniswari pretends to ignore his attention, afraid that she is misinterpreting his actions. She hopes to find a suitable mate in him.
