Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silent Moonlit Lake is a royal blue dragon. She is very intelligent and smart, and she is one of her clan's assistant leaders, helping the four main ones direct hunting expeditions and patrols. However, she is almost emotionless, and although she is pretty and attractive, she rejects all of her potential mates, saying that she is too busy to "waste" any time on love or romance. Even though many dragons cannot understand why she never seems to want to have any fun, what they don't realize is that she doesn't think she is funny or friendly, and she therefore pours all of her time into work, trying to distance herself from others. However, despite her solitary behavior, she does have one friend, Naela's Icy Moonstone, and the two often go stargazing together.
