Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Moesashi o nensho is a very happy little hatchling. She gets to sleep in the burning embers of a roaring fire that the other ember dragons in her pack keep going continuously in order for all of the newly hatched hatchlings can be warm and happy. Since their outer skin has not hardened, they are always losing heat and need to be kept warm until their outer layer hardens to keep that warmth in.

Her name means burning ember.
