Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A strong Guardian, Lord Victor reigned over his territory peacefully for several centuries. He had amassed a large hoard and a steady amount of tributes from the local human villages, (as long as they left him alone and appeased him with the occasional cow, he never disturbed them). All dragons relied on him to keep the order of the land and prevent war. One fateful day though, Lord Victor snapped, and caused terror on his land, scorching fields and slaughtering anything in sight. For a whole 24 hours nothing was safe. The enraged dragon simply stopped his destruction as soon as he begun it, and has been hibernating in his cave ever since. His land has since regrown to it's original state but the people and dragons carry a similar air about Victor, something along the lines of "Whatever you do don't go messing with the deranged and powerful guardian dragon." To this day no one knows why he snapped, when he'll wake up and if he'll return to his destructive rampage once he does.
