Asio Wyverns are known for their ferocity, being completely intolerant of any creatures outside of their own species. Females are often perfectionistic, and can be picky when it comes to choosing a mate; they can often end up rejecting most potential partners they come across. It has even been documented that particularly stubborn females will choose each other as life partners, instead living together as pairs. Violently aggressive, parents will often fight with each other, even snapping at their hatchlings when they become overly demanding. Males take great pride in their glimmering golden feathers, and are chosen by females based on how well-groomed their plumage is. This contradicts the females’ messy lifestyles—they enjoy decorating their nests with the remains of their prey. With superlative hearing and sight, Asios make for brilliant nocturnal hunters, gliding through the forest canopy on silent wings and snatching up prey with their impressively large talons. Despite their snappy reputations, however, Asios love their families dearly, and would sacrifice their own lives to save one another.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation.
