Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

There are many stories that attempt to give explanation for the appearance and devastation of The Sunstealer upon the world. None know which hold any truth, but there are those who know the beast by a different name. In some cultures she is called "The Griever" instead, hearkening back to an even older tale.

The tale tells of a retired knight who once lived peacefully with her wife following the end of a long war in a now vanished kingdom. The knight and her wife spent a good many years living happily in their home until one day in the knight's absence, marauders raided their homestead and murdered her wife as they plundered their valuables.

In her grief, the knight called upon tremendously dark forces, and completed a fatal ritual to become the monster she is now. The Sunstealer exists solely to wreak indiscriminate destruction upon the world that took everything from her. No amount of destruction has been able to sate her, nor any reason reached far enough soothe her aching spirit.
