Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite his breed's popularity among others, Raeze is quite shy, trying to stay out of the social swarm the best he can. Even when he'd just hatched he was like this. The first thing he did was scamper away from all those around him. Over the years he got better, slowly but surely coming out of his shell. Often he can be seen strolling through the surrounding forests, snapping up a butterfly here and there. Many of the females in the castle have found his nature attractive, often trying to flirt with him when the chance comes. He shows no interest in a mate however, thanking them and moving on. A great lover of literature, Raeze will sometimes dwell inside the library, reading on the different dragon breeds, or his species' history. He's quite adept on the subject, and it is the one subject he will completely divulge himself in a conversation about.
