Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Candycane Munchies was named after several attempts on his life were made by some very confused chickens who believed he was a candycane on Christmas Eve.

Like other Christmas dragons, Candycane Munchies's favorite and most productive season is Christmas. Along with Santa Clause (who is merely a much larger, much more amorous version of himself) he is reasonable for delivering Christmas treats to all the dragons in the cave.  He looks forward to the work for most of the year to a point where it's all he can talk about.
