Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chibi Natsume is just as elegant and beautiful as every other silver dragon, but he possesses a dark and pessimistic nature. He despises humans and only very grudgingly shows respect to the human girl that saved him as an egg.

Since he was a hatchling he was watched humans from across the region hunt down and slay his species. As a result he is filled with anger whenever he sees a human and if not stopped by another dragon, will attempt to kill them.

Once the family's human 'mother' was secretly followed as she made her way into the territory to visit the clan. A man from a nearby village had heard of the family's wealth and was hoping to steal some jewels from the dragon's hoard. Natsume spied him as he crept between the trees and despite the girl's protests, disembowelled the man on the spot.
