The Fellwinter Dragon is a large, flightless breed with a fiercely protective disposition. Its wings are too small to achieve flight; instead, the rigid metallic “feathers” form a shield when flared which, combined with its dense mane, bony carapace, and brute strength, gives it an edge in close-quarters combat. Though they are typically calm and inquisitive, Fellwinter Dragons will eagerly charge to meet any threat, summoning corrosive mists and brandishing tail blades aglow with cold-burning golden light.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
