Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Veil spends almost all day sleeping, or so it seems to the other dragons. With her eyes closed, and undisturbed by the others, she has plenty of time to think while keeping up her masquerade. Veil reflects over what she's heard, tries to understand things that confuses her, and has, on at least one occasion, plotted to take over the world. At night, she comes awake, avoiding the other dragons. She explore the cave, and sometimes the outside world, under the cover of darkness, careful to not be seen by one of the ARBL's many Black Dragons. Once, the ARBL was worried that something was wrong with Veil because of her constant sleeping, but recently doesn't seem to be fazed at all.
