Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When blue lights refracted through the wings of an unclaimed female geode lit the slopes of Mount Burdock, all the unattached young males of the valley came dancing and chirping—dainty pinks and whiptails, fluttering frilleds and shining magi. Cormac the Green came crashing over the pass in the roar of a rockslide. All other suitors scattered. Local villagers watched in relief as the female turned slowly and led the newcomer away to the caverns beneath his new mountain home. Some years, they say, the mountain still rumbles.
