Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Magawg's egg first arrived in the Rainbow cavern, it was thought to be dead and was pushed aside in the nesting area. When it hatched, the hatchling also was mistaken for dead, and so ignored. When the hatchling started to mature and was seen to actually be alive, ignoring it had become a habit, and avoiding it was...comfortable. So Magawg was left to his own devices, even having to name himself. In his searches of the cave, Magawg found a chimney formation high in the ceiling with a ledge, which became where he rested in the day and the way he left the cave unobserved at night to hunt. Magawg is sometimes overwhelmed with the urge to bite one of the eggs in the nesting area and create another dragon like himself. Magawg doesn't know why he should want to create another dragon to be doomed to a life like his own, a life with neither hope nor despair.
