Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There's a dark corner in this Dragon Cave that most of the other dragons avoid. An ancient Red Dragon resides there who goes by the name of Embersglow. This dragon has a fierce temper and prefers solitude. His scales bear the marks of a troubled past, their gleam reduced to a dull red, while the thin leather of his once magnificent wings is torn in places.<br/>Embersglow has seen many battles. On stormy days, when the young hatchlings are forbidden from flying around, he might just feel inclined to share his warmth and his stories with them, as long as they manage to behave themselves.<br/>The older dragons, though, know that Embersglow will chase the hatchlings away for good as soon as they grow too old for his liking. He has nothing but hard feelings towards other adults, bearing the marks of too many fights from his youth still.<br/>These days, Embersglow does not trust others. And so he resides in the Cave's darkest corner, a vague shape in the shadows with glowing eyes.
