Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Summer Mountain is very outgoing and playful. He enjoys joking around and acting, and, though he has no parents in the cave, and is, therefore, a "new guy," he is very popular. Many dragons, in fact, are adopted, so nobody really cares. They come to him when they need comforting, because, though he seems cocky and uncaring on the outside, he's sensitive and sweet on the inside, and uses his comical gift to cheer up others. He also likes to play games with his best friend, a white dragon named Blinding Summit, who happens to be the fourth child of Moon Crystal and Pakie the Second. Summer Mountain's own parents are unknown.
