Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pitchdark is a warrior at heart.  He is always eager for a fight, though he is not really a warmonger.  Instead, he gets news from the Dragon Cave to the east as to where skirmishes are breaking out and he flies there with all haste.  When no news can be heard, he will comb the nearby land for battles, small or large, that he may join.  Pitch is rather blunt in speech and action, finding eloquence and thought before action to be pointless dithering.  He much prefers to use his teeth and magic to get a point across.  He enjoys wrestling and scuffles with clan members who will join in, and finds a good romp to be one of the best ways to pass time at home.  He is seldom to be found in Clan Cave for long, and is usually gone again in a few days time.  The clan, for the most part, enjoys his presence.  Much of this good-will is, in fact, because of his frequent absences.  When he is only seen for a few days at a time, his frank words and violent preferences are not difficult to tolerate.
