Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mint is not a very social dragon.  He is often picked on by the bigger, meaner dragons, who call him names.  His owner, Mikki, always tries to stop it, but when she's not around, the teasing continues.  Despite this, Mint is proud of his species. "We're just unique, it doesn't mean we're lizards," he always tells the other dragons, but they never listen.

Despite being unsocial, Mint loves talking walks and chasing butterflies.  He's often in the group Mikki sends out to collect herbs when a dragon is sick, and due to this, he met his only friend—Calen, the dino.

With Calen's help, Mint learned to read basic writing, and is currently under Calen's tutelage as he learns more about herbs.  When they go to collect herbs or just take a walk together, they often chat about herbs or myths and legends.  

Mint loves legends and tales -- he especially loves the story Mikki tells the hatchlings sometimes about a powerful dragon named Brad, the most amazing dragon of all time.
