Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Satchel raised Mesconna as a hatchling, and sought her out when they were separated. His time searching for her lead him to become a nomad. He often returns to Mesconna's pack with tales of his travels and stunning souvenirs. Satchell will tell a story to anyone who will listen, but it's often hard to tell fact from fantasy. He is mated to Searing Equinox, and they travel the globe in search of friends, adventure, and the perfect scrambled eggs.

Covering his body are numerous scars from his battles. On one of his wings you can see a piercing strung through with a small brass ring. His stripes, once flashing silver, have dulled down to a dusky platinum with age, and his eyes are an uncharacteristic gold.
