Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts autumn weather.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Leaf him alone was always a sad little dragon. He hates all company, including his that of his owner. Leaf was abandoned as an egg, left on the cold, damp stone in front of the cave. When he was adopted, a shimmer of warmth shed through his shell, but he soon became cold once again.  Day after day the egg became cool and soft, until a burst of heat boiled him alive only an hour before death. He feel out of his shell, ill and confused, only to find a disproving glare of a neglected dragon scientist. His owner tried once again to turn his type when he was a innocent hatchling, but gave in and froze him. Because of his horrid past, Leaf spends his time ripping apart the beautiful leaves out of his wings, and yelling to all 'Leave me alone!'.
