Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mathcat Inktalon is named after the legendary chronicler of dragons, and some say she might just be Mathcat herself.  She certainly shares her namesake's love of telling stories, and requires a steady supply of parchment and quills, growing cross if she runs out of either.  Mathcat Inktalon has a knack for being around at just the right moment to record some major event or interesting new story, and is gaining a growing reputation for her well-told, carefully-scribed records.  Most dragons would enjoy the fame, but Mathcat Inktalon, like her namesake, finds the excess attention disconcerting and rather unnerving, as she prefers to lurk unnoticed when she can.
