Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The leader of the Elite Beat Clan, Commander Kahn is an enigma to everyone except for the very few who are fortunate enough to be considered his "friend" or one of his clan. His past prior to being found by KimokoTheDragon remains a mystery to everyone, including KimokoTheDragon herself, but, when he was found, he was severely injured from an unknown source (but many still speculate it to be from another dragon). The only telltale remainders of those injuries are the scar on his left shoulder and a 4-pointed star shaped scar over his left eye. With the exception of a few cases of helping people in need, practically nobody has seen him outside of the cave where he resides; the reason behind this is also a mystery.
