Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Pebblepaw is a rather precocious and demanding youngster who, when she doesn't get her way, creates, or tries to anyway, mini earthquakes. While not powerful enough to do very much damage, they're still bothersome, particularly when other dragons in her cave are trying to rest. She seems to believe that she's larger than she truly is, and will readily challenge most other dragons, though they generally ignore her requests for a fight. She also is somewhat of a tattle-tale, hurrying to tell her owner or the parents of a misbehaving young one of even the smallest offenses, such as running too fast through the cave, sneaking sweets, or speaking unkindly to others, though she often commits those same things herself. She is tolerated, just barely, by most everyone because she is only a hatchling, but really should start learning how to truly behave more civil towards others.
