Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Comet is worshipped by a group of nomadic villagers. They believe she has a deep connection to the Gods. She behaves strangely, making camp in a certain spot in the desert. Suddenly, she will snap her line of sight to the heavens, howl like a coyote, and start walking in a random direction, eyes to the sky. She does not fly, she just walks at a casual pace. Then, she'll settle down after a while. The villagers believe it is because the Gods are using her as a vessel, guiding them from harm. Recently, the villagers began creating telescopes, and this discovery gave them the answer to Comet's strange behavior. She was following comets in the sky that she could see with her superior eyes. The villagers believe that she still follows the Gods' orders, as the Gods send the meteors.
