Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shimmering Summer Night Dancer is well known for his hide, which causes light to bounce off it in many colors despite it being pink. He blames his ancestry, which boasts tinsels, nebulas, and a great many golden wyverns. While this wouldn't be a problem for any other dancing dragon, Shimmering Summer Night Dancer is so beautiful and extraordinary that he has had to dodge four kidnapping attempts and one attempt on his life to harvest his pelt. He rarely leaves the cave now, except in the company of two guardian dragons because his owner does not wish to lose him.
