Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady Shooting Star loves the night. While not unusual for Black dragons, as they do like hunting after dark, her love of the night is stronger than any other Black dragon of her clan. This is due to her absolute adoration of the stars. When the last traces of light have disappeared, Shooting Star heads to the deepest, darkest parts of the forest. There she spends the night gazing up at the sky. Some of the family joke that she is a Nebula trapped in a Black dragon's body. Others think she's a bit crazy, but Shooting Star just shrugs it off and disappears into the night, reappearing only after the last star has faded from the sky at dawn.
