As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Dusk is a shy dragon. She always avoids contact with any creature other than her prey (small bats), her owner, and a mate. She's rather smart and knows what's going on around her and can figure out problems rather quickly. She's also somewhat inquisitive. Where she roams through other dragons' territories, she recognizes places and she remembers how it was when she left. She knows if anything is slightly different, like the loss of a tree and whatnot. She likes to check everything out and map it in her head. Though Dusk is shy and a bit of a loner, she really is happy with her life and wouldn't give it up without a fight.
