As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Dusk's wings is a member of the Dusk—Dawn Draco Clan.  She is very young and very shy, but she is very smart. She uses her talents to an advantage.  She applied to be a Nighttime Guard.  She sticks to her own Clan, but she has a huge crush on Black Moon Starlight, a Nebula Dragon.  She will never be able to breed with him, because she is a Drake.  She pushes this thought to the back of her mind, and concentrates on being number one at her job.  She has worked so hard, that she has become the leader of her Clan, even though she is mixed breed and the other members are pure bred!
