Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flapping, as he is often called by his owner, rarely stays around the other dragons. He much prefers to fly near the feeding grounds of the local flamingos, where he will often stay for weeks. Often found near the young flamingos, he is not exactly the kindest dragon as he often picks off young or sick flamingos from the flock.

On the rare occasions that he is back at the cave with the other dragons, he only stays around his own kind, although it is not his choice. All the other dragons growl at him to keep away, especially the mothers or other egg-guarders. He seems to be very untrustworthy with the other dragons, perhaps earning him this reputation.
