When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oceas is calm and mellow by nature, even when provoked. She has never on record been violent or aggressive in any situation. Along with this, she is also wise, noble and considerate, always putting the safety of others before her own, which is why she has the occasional scar here and there, even though she was simply defending the weak or troubled, 'doing her duty' as some would put it. She is especially caring towards her young, and thus many call her a 'natural born mother'.

Oceas is one of the few Water dragons fortunate enough to swim the oceans, the very expanse of water she was named for. Having such a vast, almost limitless habitat, she is known far and wide across her world as the 'Gentle Giant', always ready to

lend a helping fin. Thus, she also posses a large network of associates from all corners of the globe, although none closer than the loyal Nya Aquis, Oceas' first and foremost friend.
