Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

After a natural disaster wiped out the majority of her herd, Trappal took in two young females of her breed and began to work on building a herd of her own. She surely has the brains and the finely tuned instincts needed to do so. Now Trappal runs with her two adopted daughters Vixee and Naxxis, all three of them keeping mainly to themselves until breeding season, when they stray away from each other temporarily to breed with other males or locate abandoned terrae dragon eggs to introduce into the herd. The girls are very well led with Tappal watching after them, and they only take in eggs or hatchlings that have been abandoned, aiming to both help the young ones find homes in the herd and avoid getting a rap for stealing other dragons' eggs.
