Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chatix (Chat-ix)is singularly responsible for expanding the small natural cavern the clan calls home into a great chamber with many side caves for privacy, storage and other needs. She was not asked to perform this task, but rather saw the need and did what she could on her own- much to the appreciation of all the others. Once finished, however, she slunk down into the deepest chamber she could and rarely emerges. To the knowledge of the others, she has only been SEEN once, when predators had skulked into the egg chamber. Chatix was the last line of defense, and those egg snatchers were never seen again. While never seen top side since then, the fact that there is a small Earth dragon hatchling scampering around, calling Nefrit 'Daddy', indicates that she has.
