Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Klavier is a really flashy dragon that likes to be the center of attention. And he usually is, what with the astonishing design on his scales and his nice singing voice. Females are either fans of him, like him because of his nice and honest personality, or think he's a 'glimmerous fop'.

Klavier was lucky to have gendered male, since he was part of a group of dragons that received names as soon as they hatched. Both his self-appointed sister and his mate weren't so lucky, though, being females with male names. Klavier likes to tease them with that fact, until Kristoph is visibly angry, which is the signal to run away as far as possible. Though Klavier really thinks of the other Nebula as family, he's sometimes afraid of her due to her complicated personality, so he never crosses the line between 'annoying her' and 'angering her', though he refuses to believe the rumors that say the blue dragon has already ended others' lives. And as long as Kristoph says so, he'll keep believing her.
