Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Thunderf00t is a highly empirical, pedantic dragon. He is a regular participant in the weekly Intellectual Congress, were all the smart dragons meet to discuss important questions like "Where did life come from" and "What shall we have for lunch". Other dragons consider him incredibly intelligent, and his calm, clear way of explaining things nets him many wins during the various debates. Because of this, he has a tendency to be arrogant and scorns all who fail to justify their beliefs with something other than gut feeling. He views these dragons to be stupid, and tries his best to make them rational. However, his helpfulness is at times irritating, and those he disagrees with feel his campaign for rationality is nothing more than a personal attack on their deeply loved traditions.
