Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lovers Ashes is currently in a very passionate relationship with his lifemate, Misty Morning. He is much more easily angered than his mate and controls the skies relentlessly, always depending on his mood. Misty Morning sits back and lets him control the skies but the other dragons, no matter how annoyed they are with him, try to please him or they face the wrath of furious storms. For example, when happy, the sky is blue and breezy. When sad, constant rain. When angered, terrible storms. When somewhere anonymous with his mate, the temperature rockets up and the cloudless sky goes very red. Controlling the weather without being able to stop yourself can be a very embarrassing experience, as the other dragons know everything he's doing when he's not around.
