Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Don Loki always thought dreamily of his future mate as a child. She would be perfect and he would love her no matter what. He would be her hero, lover, best friend, confidante, and anyone else that she would ever need. She would love him and be the same for him. Don Loki never would have thought that he would fall in love with the grumpy and unromantic Knaz. A red with a fiery personality to match her color, Knaz was the worst match for Don Loki. She was no damsel in distress and she certainly didn't need a hero; she hated overly sentimental stuff and she wanted more of a bed-buddy than a lover. But Don Loki's affection was strong and he hounded her until she gave him a chance. She found out that he was tolerable, though annoying. Years later, they now live together and have several children, though it is no fairytale. Knaz routinely kicks Don Loki out of the cave for various reasons, the most common being that he is being too sappy for her tastes and won't leave her alone.
