Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Xalha is, without a doubt, the true leader of the cave. Though Cyaria is older, the white dragon saw it best to allow the female guardian to be leader, and she made a good choice in Xalha. Upon being made leader, Xalha quickly got used to her duties, and her calm and gentle demeanor was well respected by the others. She is not a fighter, but rather a defender, and is often neutral when a fight breaks out. Due to her protective nature, she tends to be distrustful of any dragon not raised within her own cave. She will, however, give any hatchling that was not born within her cave a chance to show that they mean no harm. All except for Punctur, that is; she knows his kind well and would have abandoned him as an egg if Cyaria hadn't interfered. Since she is the leader of the cave, Xalha is very picky of her mate, because the one she chooses will end up leading beside her.
