Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A wavering golden line against the bright sky marks the presence of this beast. Elusive, radiant, and graceful, it is little surprise that humans far and wide consider his kind a symbol of luck--

Abruptly, the dragon pauses. The powerful wings shiver in the sunlight as the crested head turns this way and that, seeking something. It must be a marvelous thing indeed, to attract the attention of such a proud creature.

"CAKE! CAKE CAKE CAKE I SMELL CAKE!"

And with that delightful shriek, the not-so-mysterious-and-mystical sunsong drops like an arrow to the ground, squealing and wriggling with delight as he begs the shocked local humans for a slice or a dozen. While his behavior has thus ruined much of any hope he might have had of appearing magnificent, it has quite endeared him to those around him, and inevitably there is always a cake or two waiting for him when he arrives.
