Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gwyllan is very quiet and loyal, and will do anything to help her friends. She has an uncanny sense of justice, and specializes in defensive magic. She is working on a spell that will help Littlemynt, a Mint dragon in the Towa clan who wishes desperately to fly, grow wings. She dislikes battle and violence, but at the same time, she harbors a hatred towards Black dragons, and grudges are quite unlike her. She can be unreasonably hostile toward Shadeau, the only Black dragon in the Towa clan. She hates them for the simple reason that she had a horrifying experience with a large group of Black dragons while very small. Shadeau is hurt by Gwyllan's unprovoked hostility, and most of the clan wishes that she would let her grudge go so she will be the same cheerful Gwyllan again.
