Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vengeance's Creation is as her name suggests—a creature created out of vengeance. A mother dragon sought revenge against another after the other failed to help her protect her eggs from an attacking vampire dragon. After watching as her eggs were bitten and died, she wanted the other to feel her pain. So she stole the last and the youngest of the eggs, and placed it in an area known for having a large population of vampire dragons.

However, the egg did not die when it was bitten, much to the mother dragon's disappointment. She took the egg and placed it back in its nest.

The other dragon did not recognize the egg, and so left it to die in the cold.

And so Vengeance hatched alone. She never learnt how to feel from peers, or how to care. So, to this day, she wanders the land, mindlessly biting eggs and seeking out a certain something. What this something is will never be known, and what she plans to do with it will remain a mystery, but it thought that it will be used for vengeance.
