Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

GranitEyes is surprisingly lithe for a dragon covered in stone scales. Stretching her wings and shaking them in the sun, she casts sparkling light back; the pyrite veins in the granite she loves to nibble on splatter her scales with tiny reflectors.

Climbing is GranitEyes's favorite pastime. Occasionally she has been mistaken for a very large gargoyle when resting on a high mountain shelf after scaling a cliff face. She climbs back down head first, using her wings for added balance and stability as she descends.

GranitEyes would love to fly. Sometimes when climbing back, she will leap off the mountain for the last little bit of the descent and try to glide down, but the fast plummets and heavy landings are enough to dissuade her from leaping off the cliffs higher up.
