Balloon Dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to bursting, as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ballon  Air Chaud finds it rather humourous that her name was so clumsily translated when she was traded to the faery cave. Closer inspection reveals that her English name should be 'Hot Air Balloon', not 'Air Balloon Bounce'. The scroll-faery must have been visiting the green faery the day she came, because the name she is known by to the rest of the cave is preposterous.

A native French speaker, she was naturally drawn to the only dragon in the cave who could speak the same language- Eins teh Femme. She and Sun Set Shrine are the only two that expend any effort into communicating with her. As such, she is grateful to them, and frustrated at the same time. Eins teh Femme is an ochredrake, and female besides, and Sun Set Shrine is as close to a priest as if gets in the faery cave. Her mating urge must be stifled every time mating season comes about, which is something that she would like to change. As the faeries don't seem inclined to bring her a mate, she is alone.
