Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nestled near the peak of a coastal mountain ridge, she and her mate Lumin provide services to wandering travelers and lost hatchlings. Called "Daylight" by all who speak of her, her true name is Rumna, but this is a fact only Lumin knows.

Daylight is a humble dragon whom mainly takes pride in her work as an interpreter of and for dreams. She cares little for appearances, only caring for the safety of her family and others whom she cares for.

Her mate, Lumin, is extremely close to her, seemingly the only one who can be, as even her children she doesn't nurture after hatching, deciding to tend to other matters, leaving the care for Lumin to uphold, though he doesn't mind.

Her mind wanders often, sometimes even for days without end in a deathly state, causing her not to eat and simply stare blankly, much to the dismay of her mate and kin. Even still, she doesn't appear concerned.
