Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Proud Set was picked up and adopted by Proud Flight, who treats him like a son. Due to his adoptive father's relationship with Cloud Friction and Cotton Candy Days, Set always has the chance to hang out with the electric dragon and the daydream dragon. He often teases Cotton for being a daydream, and somehow finds him attractive. As of now, he is in denial of his feelings, which he claims he doesn't have.
