And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

It's not easy to find a hatchling who is more responsible than SweetOnea. Most of the time you can hear him telling other hatchling to eat right, be active, and be sure to sunbathe as long as they are not light sensitive. He takes great interest in the eggs of the cave checking in on them now and again when no one else is around. He is always sure to wish them a heartfelt 'good luck' when he gets the chance.
