Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Skiwynd is the child of wind and water, ever bound and connected to both. Before he came to live here, he had no gender but simply was. Upon his arrival in the world of dragons however, he was forced to take a gender: male. It really fits him better than female. His current abode no one knows of, except perhaps his mate, Starri Nyght. Ah, how he loves her! Their first and continued meetings are so full of true and devoted love that it puts roses to shame.

Skiwynd is very serene and calm, but his quiet voice can take on all the qualities of the different winds, save that it always has the hidden quality of softness. His every move is fluid and graceful; watching him wind his way through the sky is a sight to behold.
