Imperial Fleshcrownes are an active and playful breed. They are equally good at flying and climbing and while they are not good swimmers, they love to take an occasional dip. Fleshcrownes live in large social groups called “communities.” Adult Fleshcrownes share the responsibility of looking after the young, who are very playful and active. Even after maturing, they retain their curious and mischievous natures, often getting into trouble. The fleshy crowns on their head can be raised at will, and are usually erect when happy, excited, or scared. Fleshcrownes—being a very peaceful breed—are more prone to flight than fight. If threatened, they can raise their crowns while hissing in an attempt to scare off predators.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mavef has always believed that whatever Roaring Lion Productions can do, Future Era Productions can do ten times as well. Roaring Lion Productions made short serials about heroic dragons, but his theatrical group would make whole series of plays about them. The first few were disasters, disowned even by the actors who performed in them, but recently he's found success with the Spectaculars.

Lyexgek plays Sciurus Lass, a dragon with an unusual connection to squirrels. Though originally created as a joke, Sciurus Lass has gone on to become surprisingly popular. In part, this is because she is the one character among the Spectaculars not to have some terrible secret or dark backstory. Many of the character's most iconic traits—the fake squirrel ears, the creative use of squirrels to defeat her opponents, most of the puns, and the personal theme song—were developed by Lyexgek, who is much like a real-life version of Sciurus Lass (minus the squirrel pets, but she's working on those).
