Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crippled when he first crawled out of the egg, Lwaro is the second egg in the first clutch. His legs shake far too much to be useful in running, but he is one of the better fliers in the Airee. In the air he is at peace, and surprisingly graceful. Lwaro helps to train young hatchlings and dragons for flight and the occasional air-duel. So far he has won all the flying races, though some younglings are catching up.
