Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Wave Scale's greatest pleasure is taking Mintscale for a swim. Since Mint is so small, she cannot swim on her own like all the other dragons. Wave Scale, being the kindly soul he is, takes Mint on his back and dives through the waters with her. He also takes her flying, as she has no wings.

Wave Scale's egg was actually taken from his mother's nest by Warrior herself. Since Wave's breed of dragon nest on a small rocky island far from shore, Warrior went through much trouble to get there. When she approached the island, she was overjoyed to see the dragon's nesting ground. But as she was looking at the loyal brood dragons, she saw one female eating her eggs. Warrior recognized it as an extreme hunger state. Male dragons feed females on the nest, and her mate had obviously died. Warrior hurried over and snatched the two remaining eggs. Unfortunately, one did not survive due to a crack from snatching out from between it's mother's mouth, but the last one certainly did!
