Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bleu-Gris's name means 'Blue-Gray' in French. Bleu-Gris is very quiet for a young male, and instead of romping and playing around like other males his age, Bleu-Gris would much rather sketch. He'll find a nice scrap of bark and a piece of charcoal and draw wonderful works. He is constantly teased by the young males at his not-so-masculine pastimes, but Aztilbe, the frozen Pink dragon who has a heavy crush on him, relishes each and every one of his oeuvres. Bleu-Gris is wise for one so young; he knows that if Aztilbe, whose opinions mattered to him more than anyone else's, liked the works, he could disregard the envious remarks of the other dragons.
