Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ian believes he is amazing. He thinks he is the fastest, the strongest, and the most handsome of all dragons in the cave. He thinks he gets all the ladies, and that princesses gladly allow themselves to be captured by him for his amazing beauty. Ian can usually be found bragging to one dragon or another about how amazing he is. In reality, he is delusional and terrible at most things. Ian loves to compete and will challenge just about anyone to just about anything and fully expect to win, even if its something he's never done before. Despite the fact that the two fight a lot, he really enjoys Mirit's company, possibly because of their shared (though clashing) adoration for a certain ember dragon.
